Well that was certainly different!
Take a rather nice pub a little way out of the city centre. Add a largish crowd of varied Goths, and sprinkle on 8 different DJs, with very different tastes, all playing their own favourite tunes in 1/2 hour slots.
The result was one of the most original, not to mention entertaining clubnights I've been to in a while.
The venue was great, comfortable, spacious, and with very friendly staff (I think we did the usual Goth thing of impressing them with the lack of trouble/hassle/noise, etc). The bar prices were good, and the place was clean. There were a couple of sound-system glitches, eventually traced to an overheating amplifier, but that only served to add comedy value to what was already a very pleasant evening. Though some of the shouted suggestions during one outage did leave us wondering about some people's musical tastes...
Overall, a great night. Not sure if/when the next one will be, but if/when it happens, definitely an event worth going to.
And of course, kudos to Paul for managing to book a Sheepish event in a venue called "The Golden Fleece"... :-)
